January has been thought of as a good month to start making some positive changes. So, let's jump in!
Whew! Can you believe we just completed another cycle of 365's!
So, what does this mean to you and me?
For some of us it's pulling out our planners or notebooks and listing all the things we want to add or make changes to for the coming new year. Some don't want to do a deep-dive into resolutions at all, and trust me, I get this also!
To me it's about taking stock of the last year, looking at what went well and what I could have done better. Which good and not so good habits were formed and how I need to change the not so good ones.
Here are some ways I look at resolutions in general…
Stay positive.
Try not to make big/quick changes.
Change should be gradual (depending on what it is).
Build on smaller changes.
Allow a little room for error.
AND! Here are some interesting and thoughtful resolutions to consider...
Write down one thing you’re grateful for every night
Focus on a passion, not the way you look.
Work out to feel good and be healthier, not necessarily to be thinner, that will come as you eat better and exercise.
Drink more water.
Stop gossiping.
Do random acts of kindness.
Read a book a month.
Clear out the clutter.
Turn off your phone at least one night a week if not more.
Talk to yourself with kindness.
Don’t buy things you don’t need.
Clean out your car.
Take the stairs.
If you are still on social media, be kind.
Let go of grudges, you are only hurting yourself and bumming out the people around that care.
Stay in touch with the people who matter.
Travel somewhere without posting about it on social media.
Start cooking! There are sooo many cooking shows that will talk you through a recipe one step at a time.
Send handwritten letters.
Donate clothes you never wear.
Pay off your credit card every month...Love Dave Ramsey.:)
Avoid people who complain a lot. This is toxic and a real bad habit.
Remove negativity or anything that makes you feel lousy.
Wear a natural sunscreen.
Make your bed every morning. It leads to better productivity, a feeling of accomplishment, and pride. Plus, it lowers your stress level and improves your mood just to name a few. Mom always said, "Making your bed is like brushing your teeth or combing your hair". Always have, always will. ;)
Above all, pray more, get closer to God, worry less.
By The Way, Remember January 15th!...
We have to raise our prices a bit because of the economy and supply cost increases across the board.
But!
You can take advantage of the Dr. Lucy stores current prices until January 15th! Remember, stocking up is always a good thing!
P.S. Shipping and Handling will remain the same flat $9.00 whether you live in Washington State, New York City, Alaska or any place in-between!
I hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve tonight. Try not to feel sad or have regrets. Life is a moving target and a learning experience. Just keep moving forward, learn from your mistakes and your positive wins!
With lots of love and blessings!
